1. Block Club Chicago: Lori Lightfoot is first one-term mayor in 40 years. Chicago Tribune: Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson advance to runoffs.

   ABC7: Hispanics are only 8% of registered voters in Chicago, despite being 29% of population.

   (That’s what I missed by thinking Garcia would advance. He got 14%. Chicago is a little less than a third white, a third black, a third Hispanic and 7% Asian. Latino voters are sleeping giant in next generation.)
